History of Giving
On November 2, 2007, members of the Napa Valley Vintners, community leaders, beneficiary organizations and Napa Valley residents came together to celebrate the high point of Auction Napa Valley: distributing more than $8.8 million in proceeds from the 2007 Auction Napa Valley to dozens of Napa County health, youth and housing nonprofit organizations and collaboratives.
The distribution was as follows:
| Direct Contributions to Beneficiaries | Contributions for 2007 | Total Contributions from 1981 to Present |
| Health Care | $3,837,000 | $35,544,068 |
| Health Care Fund | $17,773,316 | |
| Youth | $1,305,000 | $7,287,820 |
| Housing | $662,500 | $3,929,614 |
| Special Projects | $640,000 | $4,269,428 |
| Napa Valley Vintners Community Strategic Initiatives |
$2,355,500 | $2,355,500 |
| Total: | $8,800,000 | $77,604,246 |
Since the auction’s first year, the NVV has given nearly $78 million to our community and though these outstanding organizations. It is not only the work of our vintners and volunteers who provide incredible wine and outstanding hospitality, but the goodwill of the bidders who come to our Valley each year to support our community.
